I guess this is more a small side trip but if riding to or from the Tumbulgum pub or Duranbah then turn off onto Hogans road to Terranora. It starts narrow but opens and climbs to a ridge with some nice views and you could at the time of writing explore to higher vantage point on a couple of very steep back roads.
