I waited 10 years to ride this as there are a lot of other roads competing for my attention in the region all of which are full sealed whilst this route has 30 km of gravel (and used to be 60km unsealed)
It is very scenic and quite remote, no services or shops in route between Yass and Tumut so fuel up and buy anything you might need like a drink and snack before hand.
I found the dirt easy but there had been some rain the night before to compact things a little. Some patches of clay to watch out for. Very cold at the top of the range in the forest. Great ride.
